At Q&R, we build each other up and give encouragement, feedback, and peer critiques. Whether you're drafting your first chapter or polishing your fifth manuscript, we would love to have you.

But why do I need a writing group?

If your book changes just ten people’s lives, and if each of them change ten other peoples’ lives, and each of them change ten more…give it nine generations and you just changed 1 million lives. Another generation…and that little book of yours just changed the entire world.

But first you have to write it.

And that’s the hard part, because writing is isolating. We do every step hidden behind closed doors…in the secret society of our mind. We think that because of this—it means we have to be alone. But that doesn’t necessarily have to be true.

At Q&R we bring together serious writers of every age who are tired of writing alone…who just need community and encouragement.

JRR Tolkien said that Lord of the Rings would never have been written without the encouragement of the inklings (especially CS Lewis). Can you imagine? A world without Lord of the Rings! And all that prevented such a disastrous calamity was encouragement.

So at Q&R we cheer each other on, write in sprints, and share honest critiques until your drafts become finished work. Until you reach that book that—perhaps unbeknownst to you—could change the entire world.

  • A lot of crazy to be sure! We share milestones, work, and other big updates. We cheer each other on, write together in sprints, and trade honest, kind critiques! We also talk crazy that only writers will understand.


  • Q&R is entirely free. There is no cost at all to joining, and you can leave at any time.

  • Q&R is invite only so you can ‘request an invitation’ and I will get back to you shortly whether or not you have been accepted.
